I'm getting MUCH lazier by the minute. Granted I am EXHAUSTED from reading every single review about every single lens from every single company, I do NOT plan on doing the same for filters. Here's what's going on.

I need a UV filter for protection on my 10-22 and 17-55.
I need an ND grad 0.6 filter on my 10-22 and 17-55 for those sexy skies.
I *think* I need a CPL for my 10-22 and 17-55 just incase I'm going to be shooting through a window or other reflective surface.

I don't want cheap crappy filters that will deter my IQ, and I don't care much about vignetting, though I want no less than 77mm.

I have a slight budget. I need all 3 filters for under $200. If need be, cut the CPL out and I'll take the best UV and NDG filters I can get for $200. Thanks in advance. (Oh yeah, the whole point - YOU help me find them!)

I'm going to go fall asleep for about a week to regain my strength and sanity from lens shopping.

I don't think it can be done for $200., at least with the B+W s that I use. If anything, I'd skip the CPL until you know you want/need one. I don't have any ND filters, I use CPL to darken skies, when needed.

Great prices on B+W. I have bought many filters from them with no issues. Does take me about 10 days to get the filters, but I am a pateint man.

These are what I would get

A few dollars over budget, but like you say you can always cut out the CPL for now.

I like those choices, but from what I've read, my two lenses require a "slim" filter. I'm assuming the slim versions of those 3 filters will dramatically increase the price? Otherwise, those 3 are a perfect set.

I agree.

I've bought a bunch of filters there myself (Hoya, not B+W). They do take a while to arrive, but the savings is worth the wait.

Be warned though; CPL's weren't made for lenses as wide as the 10-22. I shot 2 days worth of pix in Joshua Tree using a 10-22 and a cpl and all the skies came out funny. The CPL works with the relation of it to the sun; and the tone of the blue sky really varied from 1 side of the pic to the other when shooting > 14mm.

It didn't happen on all my pix; but if the conditions are right it does show itself.
