loading not working

hey, does anyone know why when i try to upload my pictures into the comp, it just won't work.. usually it does but now it doesn't ? does this has anything to do with the battery and such ?? my camera is canon powershot btw

I am not familiar with your camera but...
Unplug the camera
Check the communication mode in your camera's menu check your manual and make sure it is correct. Is your camera ready to communicate?
Make sure your battery is fully charged.
If you have installed any software very recently that looks at your USB ports, turn it off for now.
Reset your computer or turn it off then on.
Check your cable connection. Turn the camera off, plug it in, then turn it on.

Have you tried using a card reader instead of downloading directly from the camera?
