Not a typical day in sunny San Diego. It was actually a nice change though, if you can believe that. This is Moonlight Beach.

Incredible pic, I go to moonlight beach on occasion and have seen that spot. Care to elaborate on your post processing technique for this pic?

Great shot. The foreground seems a TINY bit dark on my monitor.. no worries though, still a stunner! What lens and what PP was done?


Fell in love with photos.. made lots of money.. fell out of love with photos.. took a long break.. trying to find my love again.

This was shot with my new EF-S 17-55 2.8 IS, seems like a fantastic lens so far.

I knew what I wanted when I shot this one, I wanted those clouds! So I shot it in RAW, then when I got home, I did one conversion for the clouds, then one conversion for the foreground, then blended the two shots together in CS2. I set the darker exposure pic on top of the lighter exposure pic, then used a layer mask to bring back the highlights of the foreground sand and water.
I know what you mean about the water, but it actually was that dark in person. I like how the bubbles kinda show you that it's not just under exposed.

Yep. I boofed it Adam.

I was messing with my website working on a step by step on this pic. It's back to the final version now.
