Here's another one from my magnetic perch ;). These little birds are always the first to notice when I've put some new food out so it was no surprise that I got a photograph of one of them. Still, even with 560mm, a 1.3x camera crop factor and me in a home-made blind 4 or 5 meters away I still had to crop this to about 60%. I feel there is a sigmonster in my future...

Comments welcome.

Looks good to me, they say size does'nt matter but!!All small birds are very hard to get, they are small and dart about a lot, although the photographs of eagles etc on this forum are spectacular I sometimes think, due to their size it is an easier shot.

Very nice, Andy. I wish I had one of those magnetic perches.
....and I think you're right Gordon. The raptors are much easier to take, especially in flight. It's finding them that's the challenge for me. They don't seem to come to my feeder. :)

It's the detail and colours in the small songbirds that I love to try to capture though I'd jump at the chance to photograph some of the wild raptors you have up there in Scotland.

a cracking shot , and understand the sigmonster thought- we always seem to need longer, here in the UK the birds are just so shy even my 500f4 with a 1.4tc was to short today .
