As I mentioned in an earlier post, my CRT finally bit the dust. So I have my first LCD Monitor, a Samsung SyncMaster 204b. Today I read the owners manual and set the resolution to 1600 X 1200 as suggested. It was set at 1024 X 768. Now all the icons on the desktop are very small, the Microsoft Word documents are very small… What should I do? Photoshop looks good, but the wife is not happy! Thanks in advance for any help.

If you want to have larger icons go into the control panel->click display -> click appearance ->click effects and check off large icons. This should get you bigger icons. In the same appearance tab drop down to font size if you want the larger fonts to go along with that.

Hope this makes the wife happy!

Oh... forgot... In Word there is a drop down box for size in the toolbar next to the paragraph symbol on the top. This should change the size of the viewable document without changing the font size for print.
