Just bored and playing around. This is a drop of oil on a CD. I know it is pretty noisy. Shot at high ISO in available light. I ran it thru neat image and that helped. The colors are not photoshopped. There are a reflection from the CD.

Nice work indeed. I got some fabulous shots doing that once, and never been able to recreate it since. Maybe I just had a super-shiney CD once or something...

Also try playing with other fluids on the CD, like oil and water, washing up liquid, anything that might react or cause more refractions...

Thanks for the looking and for the comments. This wasn't actually oil. It was that clear eucalyptus stuff you put in a vaporizor. LOL
