Hey, vote for your general area of employment.

I'll make a guess that we will have a lot of guys into IT or Engineering. Digital photography seems to be a good complement.

I'm into the financial kind of stuff, as if you probably hadn't guessed with my predilection with numbers and stats and polls and such ...

...Sorry Ilya.. moved it to "Chat" ... ?!

I was "other" :)

I work as the Technical Director at a Theatre,. lights, sound, etc.. I am also "quasi IT" though as I do build, install and maintain all the PCs and network in our small office being the only "tech savy" individual working here.

Cgratti, pretty cool, you blow stuff up.

CDS, I knew you were somehow associated with aTheatre, but with the size of your server farm I thought you controlled Skynet (I think from Terminator?) :D

Timmy - thus you're in the "Still Studying" category

Stuart - I thought about going into that long time ago.

I'm a finance type for a global newspaper publisher.

Cheers

The photos of the Render farm.. yes of course that is what I call "SkyNet"

And that was a non-employment related project.. yes that was in my home.. the rest of the details are confidential as amatter of National Security... suffice it to say,. it takes a lot of CPU cycles to crack certain levels of encryption..

Hey,some pretty interesting ones allready!

Mines relatively dull
I used to be a simple farm worker/mechanic but now only work part time because of years of dumb ill health

The last 2 years i've gotten into trading used camera gear for a hobby so i can't complain anymore about being too poor to afford a reasonable camera/lens :D I've got too many lying around now!!

life is pretty good-just wish i could travel...

I'm a Computer Operations Technician, a sort of simplified title that means I run the computers (a mainframe, several Unix boxes, an AS/400 and a large network) for a couple large hospitals in the Los Angeles area.

My name is Lonnie, but I answer to Thomas too.

I work at Apple as a Sr. Quality Engineer on AirPort products but if I told you exactly what I was working on, Steve would have me shot, then fired.

Just kidding about the fired part.
