Decided to play around a bit tonight in the garage "studio" - used an old leather-wrapped wine bottle my grandfather brought back from Italy when he was over there during WW II. Anyway, used bulb exposure and several different pen-lights, flashlights (or torches if you're UK ;)) and hand-held my 580EX on a few. I'm REALLY enjoying my new 5D!

Thanks... the second shot I used an LED flashlight rather than a standard incandescent bulb one...

Wow, that wine bottle is amazing. I bet it's worth a lot. Although, I don't know much about antiques, so maybe it's not. lol. It looks it to me. :-D

 Thanks... I have no idea if it's "worth" anything other than family sentiment... I remember my grandfather telling us he'd managed to put a genie in it and to never take the stopper out. He kept pennies in it and if you shook the bottle, that was the genie getting mad.

Now, my 4-year-old daughter gets to look at the genie bottle and, if she shakes it, she hears the mad genie. ;)

I really like the lighting on the first one. I like the blue/green lights placement on the second one, but the overall picture is too dark for me.
Great shots...neat item to photograph too.

My gear list finally got too long to list under my sig.
