My first post here for ages. I've been away and busy doing many many other things - but managed to get out this week and take some shots.

That robin has a band. Awesome shots!

I wonder how they get those bands on the birds..

Thanks guys.

The banding is part of an ongoing study of birds. They catch them in mist nets (very fine nets) and then band them. It doesn't hamr the birds in anyway.

Well come back Damian! These are AWESOME photos of the robin and tit. And the tit looks different (extra spicy version, color wise) than most tit images posted lately.

I see great improvement in this batch of images. Hmmmm.... did you find a sifu and start meditation in a cave, that's why we didn't see you here for so long? :D

Thanks Fee.

You know I feel guilty about not posting for so long. Have literally just been popping in and out. I wasn't in a cave, too cold for that!

I look at my latest images and think I've got a lot better - helps that it is cold and the birds stay still longer too mind! :)

Nice shots Damian. I really like ths singing Robin but a touch of Fill Flash might have brightened these shots a bit more.

Love the shots, specially the Robins, which also seem to evade me.
