A stitch of 12 images taken in portrait and stitched using PT Assembler.
Took advantage of the nice weather yesterday.
Started this hill walk in darkness in order to reach the summit in time for sunrise.
Not a perfect stitch job since the camera was hand held and my fingers were bloody freezing ( with gloves on ).
Ben A'an summit with Loch Katrine (centre) and Ben Venue (left).

if i remember correct, just behind there is another larger rock, as the sun was rising i guess it cast a shadow.

Thanks for the comments, folks.

JJ is correct.
There's another rocky outcrop just behind me.
I found it difficult to include the summit in a pano without including a shadow.
It was a challenge to keep my own shadow out of frame.

This, of course, is the biggest problem.

and there's me thinking you take all your shots from the road through your car window :p

Great pano and something I really must get round to trying.

I also followed the link to your larger image and got back to the home page of your gallery which is now saved to faves ;)

I'm an admirer of your moody landscape shots.

Great shot Cameron, wonderful light and shade and colour detail - personally I don't mind the shadow - in my view it balances nicely with the darker areas on the left. What I do fine a little off putting is the slope of the images on the rightside, possibly caused when you've stiched them - it just looks a little more rounded on the right. Other than that it's a great image and hat's off to you for getting up so early and attempting a climb in the dark.

Well done, it's nice to know that someone else works hard for their images, beats taking snapshots from the roadside anyday!

Nice work. The small embedded version does not do this pano any justice. The large image is awesome and has some fantastic detail!

Fell in love with photos.. made lots of money.. fell out of love with photos.. took a long break.. trying to find my love again.
