Seems like a good deal to me. I have heard these are good cards as well.

I have a Viking 512 and a 1Gig,. they are both rated a good deal faster than some of the other "standard speed" cards.. and they have served me well (the 1GB is only a few months old,. but the 512 is just under a year and was dropped in the ocean last May... )

It still works. :)

I see that the actual price of the card is $99, not $70.

Rebates don't count with me. I refuse to let those companies harvest my address for junk mail.

I have a Sandisc 256 on my 300D. The write speed is fairly slow.

I found out the hard way yesterday when my 3yo decided to give herself a "lotion bath" in the kitchen sink. I grabbed the Reb and started shooting away, I quickly got a err message after 3 shots.

I looked on the dpreview site for reviews on CF cards. I didnt realize there was so much difference between these cards.

OH yeah, you definately want the Ultra II or Extreme.

Very slight increase in speed in in-camera writing/reading. But definitely faster read/write from card reader to PC than the regular Sandisk.

Regards,
Ferdinand

considering that you aren't buyng alot of these cards, there isnt any reason not go with the better quality stuff.
