I just recieved Monte Zuckers Portrait Photography For Everyone DVD set. I got it from www.software-cinema.com (external link).

If you are just starting out in portrait shooting or even been shooting for sometime, this DVD is for you. He is a great photographer and I have learned quite a bit about posing and light placement from this DVD. It is worth the pennies....

Can you give us an idea as to what makes the DVD a good investment? How long is it? What is covered?

Monte Zucker passed away on Mar. 15, 2007. He gave so much to professional photography with his education and seminars. We had a great experience producing this title with him. It is our great loss that we could not go on to make more as he intended. The last thing he says in this title is that he intended to create a whole line of new education on DVD.
Recently, Monte was honored in the United States Congressional Record by Senator Ted Kennedy for his contributions over 50 years to professional photography.
In memory of Monte Zucker, Software Cinema is giving a portion of the sales of this great title of Monte's to cancer research. We support CureSearch, the largest pediatric cancer research organization. CureSearch has a mission to cure and prevent childhood and adolescent cancer through scientific discovery and compassionate care.

That's more what I was looking for too. Product description is nice but I wanted to know from someone that saw the DVD how they liked it and what, if anything they got from it.

I'm not necessarily looking to buy it but I'm very curious what they are charging for and if buyers felt it was a good value.

Good point!
I think for the $140 i could go to some pro and take few hours of his time, watch his work in the studio as well, i know guys here in Israel who arrrange these kinda things, take 5-10 amatures, each one pays around $100 and get a few hour session in studio ,with someone highly professional who explains the theory than they have a few hours of practice with model and all studio equipment.

I don't own it but here's a review I uncovered:

It's not a very thorough review, though.

Thanks guys, but I am still waiting to hear from a "regular" person who has bought this DVD and is willing to give an opinion on it.

For some reason a "review" that says "click here to order"at the end, is not quite what I am looking for.

ive bought instructional videos before and found all of them have useful tips and how to dos that really help u learn alot. And, one coming from someone as good as Mr. Zucker must have a ton of information thats probably well worth the money.

hm i just thought about it and I had some videos from Mr. Zucker that i bought and watched and he is awesome teacher. Really happy guy with a great passion for photography and teaching. He walked you thru his "how to shoot" and showed u the lighting and the pictures after. The ones i bought didnt cost that much but i felt they were worth the money.
