My Botero black and white 8'x16' colapsible backgrounds just arrived today along with an Impact light stand! I can't wait to try some low and high key shots! Might be too late to ask now, but.... anybody else using these too and do you have any tips or opinions you'd like to share! I wanted them because they colapse to a 3' circle that fits in my car.

3FT? Sounds ideal, can you post a link to the product? :)

These are just the collapsible backgrounds. You can also see the more complete line of Botero backgrounds by searching 'Botero'.

They have a lot of background options, but I would rather put my own pic in during PP. The Chroma-key or grey background is next on my list. Maybe a smaller one too for ease of transport. I hope they stay clean or clean easy, espeically the white.

I have the large Botero background (6'x4' sounds about right), very nice, but good luck getting it collapsed back up. I still struggle every now and then! Its like collapsing a standard reflector but requires another twist during the process.

I saw a website devoted to the topic of colapsing these backgrounds. I'll find it and post.

Steve, here's mine - I was wrong, its apparently a 5x7' collapsible background. I'm thinking the OP purchased both the 8x16' Black and White backgrounds separately.

Yep, 2 backgrounds. I use my reflectors now for small backgrounds and they are 5-in-1s.

Ohh, I do like that one - thanks! Maybe I'll open mine up tonight just to practice putting it away.

It aint easy! And the video doesn't quite match mine since I have the trailing floor part. It seems to fold into 3 circles. I start at the top fold each end into 2 circles, bring into one circle, dive to get the last circle on the floor before it springs away and then gather all the extra fabric into lump in the center. Its 8x8 with and 8x8 fabric trail. 9' ceilings barely work. 10' would have been a lot easier to deal with. I have it on an Impact light stand, legs flat, with a Manfrotto spring clamp at the top.

I don't have the trailing fabric, but the 5x7' folds into three circles too. I would have thought the fabric could be folded back over the background in step one (making the background look like a big taco shell). Either fold the fabric inside or outside of the 'taco shell' depending on where the front of the background ultimately ends up in the collapsed circle. When you perferct it, perhaps you could make us a video.. :)
