ssidiv3r (hey, how do you pronounce that anyway?)

yeah I was there - good presentation. if you're local, there's a fairly new photo club starting up at Marshy Point - 1st Thursday each month - next one is this week 12/6 @ 7:30

just getting it off the ground, only a few people involved right now, but hoping it will grow - everybody's welcome

Jim

I'm only about 30-45 minute from Marshy Point so it's close enough. I read about the club on their website but wasn't sure about what kind of stuff is involved but I should be able to make it down there on the 6th.

(pronounced "es es eye diver" since I was certified for deep diving by SSI) or you could just call me Chris

Hey Chris,
Meetings are somewhat "open format" at the moment. Meaning basically we haven't got our s#*t together yet. Actually, it's pretty new, there's a few people involved right now and looking to attract more. New faces and new ideas are welcome. The plan right now is just to get together, share ideas and enthusiasm - you can bring photos to share, either prints, slides or digital - we have access to the center's slide and digital projectors. Also, hopefully, we'll be organizing some shoots - in the spring we may even get to go out on the water, the center owns a powerboat and canoes, and so far they've been pretty helpful and are enthusiastic about developing new programs.

It'd be great to see you there, John!

Maybe you could show off some of the cool Strobist stuff you've been working on;)

Sounds interesting, I'm going to try to make it. Probably the 1pm slot.

John,

Looks interesting - I'm going to be busy Saturday, though:( - family party at my house, multiple b-days, and my sister and her family are home for a short visit after having been out of the country for a year and a half:D - should be fun!

Sound good. I could try to help out with input and ideas, and I would definately be interested in organized shoots (I might even know of a few good places)

I very well may be there at 1PM as well. I'm actually going to be in Baltimore all weekend.

How big is the place? I may bring guest, as long as that's not a problem.

Edit: Me and two friends will be there at 1pm.

I didn't know until recently that Leibovitz and I graduated from the same high-school. (Northwood High in Wheaton).
