Uh....so the first page said to check the last page for the latest event.....

Did I miss it?
I'm new here on the forum. I live in Hyattsville, work in Rockville, and sometimes get to my cousin's studio in Upper Marlboro. (The rest of the time, I drive everywhere else)

So what's kragen?

Actually, its Jorge.

Well, the off-topic threadjacking has gone out of control, so you'll have to go back a ways to get the skinny!

For a MD meet and greet, you can check out this one:

The Friday night M&G is open to all, as is the Saturday night "after party".
If you'd like to attend the fill lighting workshop and the swimsuit shootout, you can do that, too!

Jorge - usually there's something listed here but it's been a very slow summer with the heat...

I want to make it to Brookside Gardens again before September for the Butterfly Exhibit. Besides that, not much else I can think of. I've been hibernating in the basement darkroom when I can stay inside.

The heat, huh? That does explain why I feel odd taking pics during the day...... I've been shooting mostly shows at night. haha.

Thanks for the heads up. I'm looking to get better, and I think its only gonna happen with info and experience.

Kensington and work in DC. Figure on a Cherry Blossom meet-up next April - we average one or two of those a year depending on when out-of-towners are around. Also Christmas lights at both the Mormon Temple and Brookside Gardens. Also check the NoVa thread linked in my sig.

Anyone in the Germantown/Gaithersburg/Rockville area want to hang out in the near future? I was joking around with Madhu in another thread about meeting up at the Dogfish Head in Gaithersburg for a beer, but if there's any interest, it might be fun to make a little event out of it.

They have good food and really nice beer if that'll help convince anyone. We'll try to keep it as undorky as a meeting of a bunch of photographers can be. ;)

Let me know! :D

Hoping to make it to Ravens Training camp on Sunday for the 8:45am practice. From there, who knows. I've never been, hoping to get some good shots. If anyone else is going let me know and we'll meet up.

I've never been to the Ravens camp either, but I'm up for a go at it. I'm free Sunday morning so I can meet up with you there.

Anyone else here been and have any pointers? Any camera and lens allowed or are there size limits? Can we go anywhere around the field or only in the stands?

Since you all are from Maryland.. How is the activity this time of year at the Conowingo Dam? is it worth a long drive yet? Looks like Saturday will be great weather and I want to go somewhere.
Thanks
Kurt
