For Conowingo Dam, late fall and winter is usually the best time. I hear November is the best. Now if I can actually remember to go at that time.
I too am curious about what lenses are allowed at the training camp.

However, the best time to go is between Thanskgiving and Christmas, as there can be over a hundred migratory eagles on any given day. There is also the occaisional Osprey or Perigrine Falcon that wander through the area. Stefan I would hope there are no restrictions for their camp, I've been to Redskins camp and seen people using 600mm lenses.

I think I might venture in to DC for a little bit if the traffic isn't bad, but I do have a halloween party to host that night. Should be some good photographic opportunities. My village called. I was told that they missed me.

Since ACC meets in a high school there are times we can't meet due to early closings or vacation days. Hopefully I'll be able to stop by and say hi sometime soon. Sep 30, 2010 15:54 | #837 You only need to pay dues if you want to participate in our photo contests (twice a month) and win ribbons. At $25 a year it's quite reasonable and the feedback you get from judges at contests is valuable. Meetings and Field Trips are open to everyone.
