I was at the Ol Kiombo airfield in Kenya the other day doing some work for the Kenyan Government and heard a large bang. I turned and started firing.

The first image is the aircraft going down the runway trying to get it under control and get it stopped and the second is the result of hitting a large rock on the runway during takeoff.

Nice set, whenever I have my camera at hand nothing ever happens. But as soon as I put it in the bag - aliens land, bigfoot catches a taxi and nessy eats a guy on water skis.

The landing gear is made to take abuse. Unbelievable!

It's amazing the damage that is caused with a fast moving object and a rock. It multiplies by ten. Nice shots.
