Best two from the other day...PLs C+C

I got these the other day, the flowe with the kenko tubes and the waterfall with the 28-70 on a tripod.

The flower looks like i pasted it onto the bokeh, i think...

Minimal processing. just a bit of levels.contrast if i remember correct.

any feedback on these? was the contrast adj on the flower too much, they are going to be printed 20x30 later this week... need some trained eyes on them first please

Love the 2nd one. 1st is good, but I think it's the crop that bothers me. I just looked again. I think it's just too norm. Both are nice shots.

I agree, The only thing that I don't like about the second one is the rock in the lower right corner. The color, contrast, exposure is all fantastic though!

Kenko extention tubes are just metal spacers that mount in between you camera and lens. By moving the lens a few millimeters further from the sensor, you achieve a great level of magnification, and reduce the close focus distance of the lens.

instead of being 1.6 meters away, the same lens can get sharp focus as close as about 6 inches, so a spall item will be large magnification.

It is a "poor mans macro" because a set costs like 140.00 and you can use them with almost any lens you already have.

Mike, the 2nd one is STRONG! Only nitpicky thing for me is what is in the bottom right corner. Might want to PS it out...

Thanks, I actually have the same pic taken a moment later after the tripod reposition, and that is the one ill be using.
