An honest critique please. Thank you.

Well, to be honest. It's ok. It's not going to sell a million. I think it's a little too "out of the box" - I could take the same picture on my Ixus. To give it more impact, it really needs to be something that is different, dynamic, etc. For example...

1. Scene is too involved in the picture. If you could get a shallow enough DoF and blue out the trees more, that would be better.

2. Scene is dull. If the picture was in a city street, a canyon, or somewhere a bit more exciting I might be sucked in more.

3. Angle is "basic". It's the obvious shot/angle. If you have a wide angle or fisheye, go up close to the girl and try to capture some of the intensity of the race. By sitting back and capturing if from distance, I just dont feel the adrenaline that the guys in the car should feel - getting in close might just make the difference.

Sorry if it's been a bit tough on the picture. It's not bad. It actually has alot of potential, so look forward to seeing more of it.

I agree with Scott for the most part. A different location would help a lot. As far as angle he is correct there too. You might try a location that has a more defined center line, lay down on the street/road whaterver and shot from that prespective. Maybe use a long lense.

Maybe the way she looks so relaxed takes something away from it?

Looks like "late light"? If you're going to set up the shot anyway, try a different angle to the sun to bring the cars out from the background: A few Car Lighting Tips

if its possible i would recommend taking the picture after the start of this kinda pose. lets see some smoke in the background the bonnets slightly up from the acceleration and the ladies hands down. this in my opinion would add more drama.

get focused in on the lights of the cars and get a nice shallow DOF. give it a try.

Yeah, I see your point. From the setup (cars, starter girl, etc) there's alot of potential. Just depends on whether you can get your crew and their cars to sit still enough for long enough! Think cinematography... Gone in 60 Seconds, Fast and the Furious, Ronin, the Italian Job.... anything with car chases, racing, etc. That'll give you ideas on shooting, that are more imaginative/creative/e​tc.
