Think the video accomplished 2 goals for Canon...
- Educated the consumer.
- Made their price seem somewhat more moderate....

Totally agree, Seen this video before and was very impressed and now I too understand why the "Big lenses" cost so much..:eek:

Great vid, never seen that one before. I now know why lenses cost so much, I wonder if they take as much time with kit lenses :-D.

I will say that I have a lot more respect for all my Canon lenses after seeing this video. Witnessing all the hard work that goes into creating the glass, and then to see them easily dismissed by some pixel peepers. It does a great job of reminding the viewer that despite technological advances in automation, the human element is still a critical factor and must be taken into consideration the next time you're ready to claim your lens is "too soft" and that the QC at Canon must suck.
