Mortised in the Past

An Arts & Crafts style doorset I shot for a high-end magazine ad. Studio lit and modified for color, contrast and saturation in Photoshop. Shot with a single 1000wt Photoflex light and Med NXT Silverdome Softbox.

Also seen on pg.176 in Old-House Interiors Design Center Sourcebook - Fifth Edition.

I think it looks cool - even though I can't come close to being able to afford a mortise lock like this one.

Not any more. The company I did the shot for, shortly after this was taken, gave me a $7.40prhr raise, bought all my older camera gear (that I had been using there for a year) and then fired me, refusing to tell me why.
