I hope you turned him loose afterward.:lol: I think they are such an interesting creature to look at. They are a very valuable insect to control mosquitos and such. They were endangered for a while here in Kentucky. They eat some kind of pest that chews up the tobacco crops here so they are very valued by the farmers. They have made their way back though.

We had so much fun with the photo shoot it didn't want to leave!!! :D

I found it sitting outside my door during my lunch hour. Those insects are truly fearless.

Nice shots At least, as I have noticed, mantis's are some of the better models - tending to hold still longer. Great DOP!
