The GoDadday tech support people have diiferent answers to this, including "I don't know".. Does anyone here know at what size images should be posted at on a photo page? Thanks.

Mike,

What gallery are you using in goDaddy? I am using Coppermine. If you decide to use Coppermine you can control the size of the file. I have mine set to 2048 KB (approx. 2MB). There is a bit of a learning curve but it is not too bad. Here is my gallery link (external link) just to give you an idea.

Hope this helps.

Peace,
Yanis :)

Thanks Yanis.. I am not using a gallery because my main focus is workshops. But I should look into it. I am not too happy with my current photo page , thus I have not put many images on it. My images are currently at Betterphoto, Links below.

Do you offer online workshop? I could probably use your workshop. :D

Kidding aside, I don't think goDaddy will limit you on what you can upload. It is your bandwifth your using. You are paying for that bandwidth. As far as image file size, 1-2mb file size is really not too bad-considering you have a broadband connection (DSL or cable).

I noticed you are using Website Tonight. Does it have some kind of a tutorial? If so, does it reference file/image upload limits? What file upload software do you use?

Peace,
Yanis :D

The help feature of Website tonight does not say much. I had uploaded the images using their uploading feature and I only want to have low res images posted but at the same time I want it where if an image is clicked on,it will open in a larger window than it does now. I think I may have to switch the type of page from a photo page to a gallery type page. Oh well, more cash to put out..
