I really wanted to do this for a while. It's the fake tilt-shift effect (external link)I've had in my bookmarks for months. I finally got a few pictures worth trying it 2 weeks ago when I visited Montreal. It's not that original, but I enjoyed the result:

I also adjusted the contrasts and colors a bit to achieve a "colder" look. Dunno how to explain this, here's a link to the original (external link) and compare. I'll try to turn off the cars lights, they don't quite fit with the "model-city" look.

I hate these kinds of parkings where you have to leave your keys. Space is limited and it's the only way parking operators can cram as much cars as possible in there (they park-unpark the cars as they see fit, re-arranging them depending of their needs). It's not as much the "trust" issue as it is the mechanical one. Starting the car, hurrying it around a parking lot for a few seconds and turning it off... Repeat. Not good for an engine.

A game of Gridlock, anyone?

I'm quite happy to hear that. :D I've showed this to a few people around me who have no photography knowledge (thus DOF notion, among others), most thought the same thing too...
