Feelings of personal loss...

This image was taken today of my step-father..
He looks stern, but he recently suffered the loss of a very close family member. I'll never know for sure, but I think he was thinking of her at this moment.

Yes. I was sitting across the table from him. He was talking about the history of his parents and how they settled in Oregon with nothing.

I took 3 pictures of him up until that point and stopped when he got a little emotional.
