This is my second time to go to the Hot air balloon festival, but this time I witnessed something different --- I got to ride the blimp! That was a lucky break, since I was just standing by it when they asked me if I wanted to ride.

The event was held in a different place from last year, the field was wider and there was a vast runway. More competitors joined so it was really a good event to cover.

Fantastic experience! We have 2 very active hot air balloon companies here and they are frequently in the sky. They have their fiesta in April and I am looking forward to getting some similar shots. Thanks for showing these.

Nice photos. I like #3 best, i'm a sucker for sunsets/sunrises. :cool: The field of view of the blimp is awesome. Did you photograph the blimp?
