sd 700 vs sd 800

I'm comparing the sd 700 vs sd 800, is the only diffence the megapixels and the 1600 iso on the 800.

anyone have a recommendation between these 2 and maybe the 900. looking for a small p & s for the wife.


Gear- 7d, 24-70L, sigma 70-200, Sigma 120-400, canon 50 1.4, Canon 100 2.0,sigma 10-20 and a DJI Mavic Pro Drone

800 is also a wide angle lens. 28mm compared to 35mm.

if money allows, go for the 800

In agreement - go for the wide angle on the 800IS. Definitely worth it.

liking my 800 so far, but haven't used the 700 to compare it with. excellent for a small P&S.

I have the 700, my friend has the 800. There is no difference in IQ or function. Just a wider angle, which is something that comes in handy. Grab the 800 if you can.

The wide angle on the SD800 is great. Also, the SD800 has the new Digic III processor which has face detection, and faster operation.

I bought the 700 for my wife & its been great. I'm sure they are both adequate performers.
