Basically, moved the image from sRGB into LAB, edjusted the white point (levels), overlayed the a (70%) and b (100%) channels over themselves to punch up the color a bit (channel overlay layer was then dialed down to 40% opacity), and restored the white areas that got too bright (due to the levels) with a layer mask. --
