Hey all,

In doing some price comparisons between B&H and SIGMA4LESS for the Sigma 300-800, I was surprised to see an $1,100 difference between the two sites for this lens. At first I thought maybe I was looking at the earlier version of the sigmonster on the Sigma4less site, but they both show "300-800mm f/5.6 EX DG APO HSM" and have the same manufacturer number. The ONLY difference I noticed on B&H's description was the inclusion of "IF" in the the list of acronyms behind the focal length. I'm not sure what that stands for.... "Internal Focus" maybe? Anyway, both have internal focus and zoom, so perhaps IF means something else and accounts for the higher price on B&H?

I've seen sigma4less have better prices on certain lenses at times, but this difference is enough that I had to know what was up. Can someone clear up what I might be missing here?

Thanks much!

Internal Focusing is IF, I believe.

The 2 links are of the same, identical, "DG" version. Sigma4Less might be gray market, so you should confirm it with them. B&H's is definitely USA ones. The "IF" is immaterial. They are both "IF" (inner focusing).

Sigma4less dont include the sigma 4 year warrenty, only the 1 year, thats the only reason they are cheaper.

60D, Canon 18-135 IS, Sigma 10-20 hsm, 24-70 2.8 hsm, 70-200 2.8 hsm, 430EX II, and all the other stuff that goes along with it.

Ah, it's the warranty then eh? Makes sense. Thanks for the help.
