Yesterday, when I tried to charge my batteries for the second time, I discovered that my CA-560 had died. I checked the output with a meter - 0 volts.

It had been used only once before! Has anyone else seen this failure?

I called the Canon Service Center this morning (in Illinois) and it sounds like I just send it back to them and request a warranty repair.

What kind of turnaround can I expect?

David

Have you checked to make sure that the ac cord is plugged in tightly to the other end of the power block? Mine looks like it sticks out too far, and feels loose all the time. Its the connection between the 120 volt AC cord to the power brick. Something about that connection just aint right. Test that your outlet is also live, I had a lot of computer related calls when I worked for a tech support line where the outlet was dead (it does happen). Sometimes the outlet is controlled by a switch so you can plug a lamp in.... usually in living rooms.
