anyone with the 220ex

i have been trying to work out all the flash settings for this flash, however i dont have a manual for it and dont know what the symbol on the back is (its the one with the flash symbol followed by a H)

also how do i get the second curtain mode to work and all the other modes, the camera its being used with is a 400d.

come on someone must have it, i really need to know, or need to know a website where i can get info from.

I'll take an educated guess.
The flash symbol with an H next to it is the high speed sync (HSS) setting. It allows use of shutter speeds faster than 1/200 on your camera but reduces the range quite a bit. With the 220EX you don't have much power to spare, so I would avoid using it and keep the shutter speed at 1/200 or slower whenever possible. More info about high speed sync in this article.

Second curtain sync is selected through the custom functions of your camera. Have another look at your manual. I don't think there are any other modes available on the 220EX.
