Looking at the various versions, the feature I really see that I think I would like that isn't available in the Express is multi monitor. I'm not going to pay the extra $ for that alone. I don't need to calibrate a printer, so is there anything that a non pro would need that is in the suite/pro that isn't in the express?

Why can't you use the express for multi monitor? Shouldn't you be able to create one profile, name is as one montior, create the second profile and name it as the second monitor. Then point your monitor properties to the correct profile(s). Anyone else know for sure?

That's what I was thinking also. I was thinking the pro version just did it automatically.

So nobody thinks there is a $70 advantage for the suite, or $150 advantage for the pro for someone not wanting to calibrate a printer?

I had problems with my Spyder Express. The colors were off, my Eye One produced better colors...

That's not good. Hardware wise, it looks like all the spyder2's are the same, since the express says it can be upgraded to a suite/pro.

I'm going to bump this to the top because I had the same question and so far nobody really answered the PO's question.
