I was snapping some pics of birds near my feeders. The snowstorm must have drove them here for food - I often have 3 or 4 birds show up, but this morning was more like 10-20 hanging around for hours. This little one popped up very close to me. He was too close to fit in the frame (I was in portrait) and I wasn't taking a chance that he'd fly off, so I snapped him quickly. The empty top of the frame was cropped - I wish I had been in landscape, but you don't usually get them this close, so I'll take it.

Oh, and he's not a duck or a goose, so I figured it's OK to post. :)

You can take my 100-400 L away when you pry it from my cold, dead fingers.

Oh geez. We're not aloud to post ducks anymore? Please disregard the duck pics I just put up

Nice shot. I have to find something to shoot besides seagulls and ducks. :)

LOL  Wonder what it feels like to be standing on your nails (claws?, talons?) because they're so long. Look at how this bugger is standing. :D

Nice close up, Scottes!

If you try again, do what I did: Get Lucky. :)

He just popped into view a few feet from me...
