This thing is huge. There was another cruise ship the week before but it was dwarfed by this ship. I'm lucky enough to live on the water on Pago Pago Bay so I was also able to watch this boat leave. To answer you question, I have been up in the helicopter and they do a top notch job here in American Samoa. I have a couple of photos of the helicopter but nothing worth posting (mostly photos of them flying over Pago Pago harbour). Canon EOS 20D

One of the nice things about RAW is the ability to blend two different exposures, and/or two different color balances from the same picture. This isn't as good as using two different exposures, but a Layer Mask is easily reversible. Give it a try to adjust the exposure on different areas of your shot: Airport runway shoot FrankC - 20D, RAW, Manual everything...
