#1 is a good shot
#2 is out of focus
#3 is gross and someone should empty that ashtray
#4 is diferent and the whole head isn't in focus, ifd that was what you were going for

I like #1, it would make a great page in a scrapbook.
#3 would be cool if the burning end of the cigarette and the smoke were in focus.

I have this lens too, it is on my camera 90% of the time, it takes some awesome photographs.

I like #3 the most. I like the whole arrangement, wut have loved it if you shifted focus a little ahead and got the lit end of the cigarette with the smoke drifting away into focus. You know...just adds a little bit of drama that way.

I total agree. I wanna do this again, these were quick 2min shots i setup to get a feel for the 30D and 50 f/1.4 (since I am only 1 week into DSLRs)
