Not sure if I should combine the two threads. Galactic was the headliner and have been one of my favorite bands for the past 10 years. If the Meters are the Grand-daddies of New Orleans funk, then Galactic are the Daddies! The drummer is amazing.

#3 very nice capture of the drummer showing some personality
#4 is a superb group capture, only minus is whoever that is jutting up in the left hand corner into the shot.

Awesome. Great shots that really capture the mood. I have loved Galactic since the time that their name was Galactic Prophylactic... college in the 90s.

i like the drummer shot and #4, esp because of the framing (cans on top, people's heads on bottom). #5 has some tough lighting w/ the kick drum head.

Eehm, what did I say?

I think I'd crop off a bit of the left.
If your girlfriend were a *bit* more to the right, it would have been better I think.

old thread gets new life.

narlus, i agree with #5. not sure why i even included it.

and rené i'm with you on moving my (now) fiancé to the right, but it wasn't so much a posed shot. i think that was taken from the very back of the balcony while she was at the front. that was before i got the 17-35, so i had to keep moving back with the 70-200. not bad for a 1/60 exposure with that thing.

james, thanks, and what's a tit?

Guess...

shoulda gone to the widget first

but from reading the origins, it looks like the myth that j.d. titslinger invented the brazer isn't true. now i wonder if john p. crapper really invented the toilet.
