I recently bought an X's Drive II whilst in the US. When I got back to Blighty (the UK for those who don't know), I discovered I didn't have a USB cable with it. The socket seems to be a different shape to any others I have seen.

Anyone know what the spec is and who deals in them please?

I purchased mine from InsideComputer.com. They have an info page with email and international phone number. I did not see the specific cord you need, however they may be able to help you.

Evil beat me to it, with what looks a lot better for you.

Thank you Evil Englishman. Decided to get the car charger while I was at it. Maybe you aren't so evil after all.

Seriously, this has been bugging me for ages. Cheers.

I would give them a wind up about that, I bought one last year and it came with a cable, that may be a little difficult now though being back home!

No idea what happened to the cable. Was it there and misplaced on the journey or not. I'll never know, but my wife sure knows how much it has annoyed me since.

On the subject of USB plugs, there seem to be a load of them. There are mini a and mini b types and different versions of those. Many camera manufacturers have their own versions as well. The standard seems to not be a standard any more. Shame, really. Search some of the cable suppliers and you will find out just how many there are. I can't wait for mine to be delivered. I am beginning to believe that I will never get this drive running!
