I'm new here, so I thought I'd start off my first day with some New Years photos! All taken on my old 20D with the kit lens (EF-S 18-55mm) and the 580EX Flash on the regular program. Pretty happy with the no-brainer performance of the camera, used because of my 'slightly' inebriated disposition that night

Check out the Nifty thread in the EF and EFS lens section. It will convince you to get one.

I think I mentioned it in the original post, but I used the Kit lens (18-55)

I had my 50mm with me but it was chillin in the bag all night - vodka and favorite lenses don't mix IMO

I get those Teckademics guys' names backwards. Did someone in that crowd get you into photography? There are some amazing automotive photographers in NOVA/DC/SoMD.

Yeah, pretty much. I was into video, but found that it wasn't as satisfying as photography has been for me. There's a bunch of awesome photographers around here, and I've run into them in various places (SEMA in Las Vegas I saw two people that I see at almost every car event out here) It doesn't hurt that there's like 13 Million people around here either! I'm looking at geting a 5D in the next few months and moving forward with the photography thing, I've been doing a few weddings here and there with my buddy and hope that will pay for the obsession.

Thanks for looking.
