Would a Canon 40D Camera with the BGE-2N Battery Grip and Canon 70-200 F2.8L IS lens(Hood Reversed)fit into the main compartment of the Kata H-14 Holster case?
Thanks.

No, it won't. A 30D with grip and a smaller lens 17-55 barely fits due to the grip, you can only zip it shut about half way. If you take the grip off, then it would fit better. However, the 70-200 fits just fine in the side pocket, with the camera in the middle.

Sorry for reviving this dead horse, but I'm looking at this bag and the reply above *almost* addressed a question I had:

Can you fit a 40D+BG-E2N and a 17-55 f2.8 IS in the main compartment? I'm sure the lens part of the equation fits in with much room to spare. However, going through the various threads that covered this bag, I didn't see anyone who uses this bag with a 40D + grip. Is there much difference in size (if at all) between the 40D and the 30D? Is there a reason to think that a 30D + grip would fit, but not a 40D + grip???

The 40D w/ grip is very similiar to the 30D w/grip, and even with the cut mod, it is very, very tight. I suggest looking at the H-16 instead for your application, the 40D w/grip will fit in that bag, my MKIII does.

Excellent, thanks for the reply, much appreciated! :) Upon further review... ;) It looks like I'll be going with the H-16 as I see many 40D owners going that route.

Thanks again. :)

I agree... the H-16 would be a better choice for your body or 40D with grip. I have the H-14 and love it. I use it to carry my 40D with 100-400 attached (hood in reverse), 24-105, flash, 2 CF cards and spare batteries. I'm looking to get my wife the H-16 for her setup as the 300 f4 is slight longer than my 100-400.

You can, but need to modify it. Go ->HERE (external link)<- for my mod to make it work. Although, if I were doing it right now, I would just buy the H-16.

Still very difficult to zip the front flap on a 40D w/grip on the H-14 with that mod. No grip = no problem, grip = problem. I was able to get the zippers about halfway down. The H-16 is a bit better, tight but the zippers close all the way. Great mod though, it was what caused me to by the H-14 last year and fall in love with Kata bags!
