Isn't it cool when you make a mad dash for the camera and actually get a great capture out of the deal? Well damn done!

Great spur of the moment captures on the redtail, but I love the snowy for the spectacular and enigmatic pose! Great work again.:D

Way, Way, Wonderful...the hawk is awesome and the owl is unbelivable...saw your new thread last night, right after you posted it, and decided to sleep on it and reply later, today...;)

While half asleep, I figured how it could be done on a studio stand... and that you propped the owl up for the picture, and later removed the stand in post processing...
Than I woke up and realized that the prop stand is a very unlikely idea...and that you actually did capture this owl hovering, suspended in flight...:D

My denial is over...I guess, I most likely won't, be able to match that... at least not in this lifetime...Congratulations Gary.

Your being way too generous but thats nice:) Finding a cooperarive bird like this and then spending a lot...I mean a lot of time with it ( some including myself might call it a fixation) gives up quite a few opportunities and this was just that. I had not seen this owl ever perch on a wire so that was unique all by itself and while photographing this new chapter, the Owl decides to lift off into the wind. When you watch them long enough you can guess about 50% of the time that they are about to move...body language..and then just be ready. Thanks again John.....I am leaving in the next hour to go and find this beauty again:D

And thanks also to calicokat, Booswalia, V.I., Stephen, Paul, David, nitefrogger, foundationranch and Dennis:D

Excellent, excellent, good work on the Red Tails; but that capture of the Snowy Owl is most impressive, I like it. Nice Job
