I'm still having trouble liking this lens even after repeated uses. I really am starting to think that my personality would compel me to use telephoto 100% of the time if I only had enough room to do so.

What's wrong with it, too wide for you? Or the IQ?

I just bought this lens and I'm pretty excited to get to use it for my next portrait session. Here were some test shots with my favorite little model (my son :) )

I noticed prices on this lens had gone up by about $200 recently on Amazon. Even the used ones are going for over $1400 now. Don't know if this is a result of the economy or shortages or what, but luckily Calumet still had a few in stock at the original prices of $1199 so I was able to get one from there. Don't know how many are left.

Wallybud,
I like those colors.
I can go nuts on PP deciding which one I like as well.

Sometimes I get frustrated alone.

For your traffic post on the other page, I like the original. The later one is just too much for me. but for your portraits, I like them all. Just my 5 cents.

Fantastic lighting! But I'm not too hot on the composition... particularly with the tree coming out from her head..

But smooooth lighting.
