@nik.hisham: thanks. I hve another that was dark on the left but decided to go with the "happier" of the two. Being that I had pink sunglasses.

I got this lens because I would be at either ends of the 16-35m ƒ/2.8 II & was not really happy with the performance of the zoom wide open. The zoom is a very good lens, don't get it twisted, I just prefer the rendering of this lens at this focal length.
