sure is! the AF speed of the body and lens makes the combination an absolute pleasure to use.... not to mention great IQ. why did you sell that lens? did you go FF?

Yeah, I switched to a 1Ds Mk II. I'm still waiting on it, and I can't wait! But, it was DAMN hard to give that lens up..

Best Regards,

Today I was assigned to follow up on a vigil that started 500 days ago. It's taking place inside a Polish church that was one of the many church closings in the area in late 2008.

I chose to use my 7D over my 5D because the 7D has usable iso6400 for newspaper print. Glad I did :) .

DUDE! I know.. It's sharper than any prime I have ever used also.. I really wanted to keep me 30D + 17-55 as my backup, but I couldn't afford to. If FF doesn't work out for me, the 17-55 is going to be my first purchase..haha, then probably the 7D.

Oh, and I forgot to mention that it's more useful since you can practically hand hold a second long shutter and still get useable images!

yeah the IS really works. I used to be skeptical of the use of IS in lenses with short focal length ranges like this.... but it really does work. If I ever went FF I think I would likely get the 24-105L to replace this lens as it has IS which I have come to love. Too bad the 24-70 doesn't have IS or it would be the ideal FF zoom lens.
