Robert,

You just started posting recently but I really like everything you have shown us. Your style, eye for poeple moments and lighting are excellent. Very engaging. This one here is perfect - a wonderful use of B & W.

Just got my rental today... but I didn't get to test it too much. Doing an informal shoot tomorrow then some more shooting on Saturday. Let's see if I'm gonna have to dish out the money for one

Personally, I had it mounted on an XTi for the better part of the last 2 years. When I say mounted, I mean glued. I had 4 lenses at the time, and never really used the others because it's sharp, versatile, nice bokeh, and the colors always came out great. It really is the total package lens. (given you're into primes) Remember .. it brings it to about 56mm, which is a very flexible focal length in my opinion. It was my top carry around.

I'm actually having to relearn it completely on FF, because it's so different. I feel that it's optically better on FF, but I think I just grew accustomed to the focal length on my old crop.

In any case, I will always recommend this lens on any body.
And honestly, I think of it as an investment. Because no matter how many bodies I go through, I will always have my trusty 35L. :)

If you want to see some examples on a crop, I can share some. Or you can fumble through my zen (below). Most of my older stuff is with the XTi+35L combo.

The 35L spends 90% of the time on my 7D. And before that the 500D. I have posted samples on this thread but if you want to view some more, check out my Flickr stream. I love the 35L. =)
