haha, I know! I was going for a calmer, more subdued mood. I wanted to get that classic "birthday cake lit by a single candle" kind of feel.

I really underestimated how much light those little candles put out. When I checked the image preview, I remember saying to myself "wow, that didn't work like I wanted it to."

I do like the capture, though. It isn't what I wanted, but I like it.

It is a cool shot, no doubt about it... may be she could have used a fire extinguisher ;)

hahaha, the ultimate statement that summarizes what improved digital sensors over the last decade have done to photography as we know it. :p

Just rented this lens for a week. Fell in love after a weekend of shooting. I'll be joining the club soon :)

Also, that's one beautiful bike, Cap0ne!

Dude I'm in such jealousy right now! I definitely want this lens! :D
Just wondering is there a huge difference between this lens and the regular USM version?

I finally found the lens @ a small camera shop in the outskirts of Bangkok. They have me a good deal with warranty and everything. :)

Here are my first shots with the 35! Kinda tricky to get used to after exclusively shooting 85mm the last 7 months.

Just wondering except for the few stops and the 5 blade aperture vs the 8, is there any differences between this lens and the regular USM?

yes. The build quality, the AF accuracy, the colour rendering and alot of other stuff. The rendering between the f2 and the L is really different
