Erik congrats on the lens. Nice image to. The great color and contrast are often overlooked when talking about this lens. The shrpness is amazing but so are the color and contrast. Heres another flower.

I just did the same thing, but only because I couldn't find a GOOD used one. I won't settle for these "it's not very sharp at 1.4" copies. Mine was as sharp at 1.4 as my 24-70 was at f/4. That's damn sharp.

What a great lens, I can get it new for cad $1409.00 taxes in. Seems like a good deal to me!

the 35L is pretty amazing. very sharp wide open. the only difficult part is that the DoF is so thin more care is required to get the focal plane lined up as desired.

Here's one from Lao, dancing figures on a garden shrine, these were everywhere.

No image editing done. How do you get the time if it's not your full time job?? I have the choice in my free time - go and take more pics, or make my current ones more beautiful. The 2nd never happens...

Love this lens, but still getting used to the focal length. I'm used to a film 28mm or 90mm.
