FYI - for those looking, Adorama's site indicates that they have a shipment of refurbed 35Ls on the way.

Wow, the bokeh on that first shot is awesome.

Are all of these shots with your 5D MKII?

Yes all with the 5dmk2. The first one was shot at f/2.

darktiger, your pictures are amazing: the color so vivid and saturated. Are you doing a lot of processing on these? Would love to see the same picture straight from the camera to compare.

Amazing thread. I'm starting to understand the appeal of good primes.
I think it may be time to cut up my credit cards. I do NOT want to go down this road.
Maybe I'll just take a quick look and see how much B&H wants for a 35L. It can't hurt to just look, right?

I can't see ever using an 85 like I use my 35...I have a feeling I would be restricted by the tight framing. Sometimes I feel like I want a 24L but then I take a step backward, to the left or right, recompose the shot, and it comes out even better ;)...I haven't used my 17-40 in two weeks and my 70-200 in well over 2 months...This lens is like heroin (not that I would know of course.

My sisters birthday was yesterday, my father only gets the most gorgeous roses every year...

Actually most of these are taken in RAW and I have a present in LR2 that I run all my pictures through and that's it. Part of the recipe is Clarity +5, Vib +15, Sat -2. Besides that nothing else....
