Box Brownie, of all the sig lines I've seen, I think you have the best! I love it!!!

There is a What the Duck cartoon (and t-shirt now) where someone is telling him "Your camera takes nice pictures." He replies with "your mouth makes nice compliments." :D

Thanks Jeff ;) The reason I chose it and as far as I know it is not original (or is it?) was because I was tired of friends and relatives saying my camera must be so good to have taken "such nice pictures....". I have seen that What the Duck cartoon herabouts and have printed it off. I wonder if the T-shirt is available in the UK ?

That was a great meal ~ you must have a good set of pans :p

I don't know why, but I find it so hilarious to hear what people think of Americans. And they are usually right! :D

It kind of reminds me of a line Tim Allen used to use in his stand-up comedy routine talking about the differences between men and women. "Men are pigs, right ladies?"... Huge applause... "Too bad we own everything!!! Hahahahaha"

My absolute worst fist clencher is the use of the word "nit"...especially when used with "minor":

"Good shot, but my only nit is the twig sticking out on the left side...but that's minor"

AAARRRGGGHHH!

That's hilarious! He really does have a lot of things going for him, however he does bring this stuff on himself. I would give anything if he could present himself better when speaking in public.

There is a comedian who does a dead-on perfect impression of GWB. For the life of me I can't recall his name. He also does a great John Madden impression. I'm sure somebody can help me out here. If there is any way possible Condyk, you have to see a clip of this. You will be rolling on the floor.

I had a history professor that said "in actual fact" way more that anyone needed to.

I guess what makes words or phrases annoying to me is when I hear (or see) them constantly. I would like to thank the posters on this thread for elevating my most annoying words to an even higher status.

As opposed to "in made-up fact" I guess, eh?

And we're back, with the Word List.

There is one word that bothers me more than a poorly performed colonoscopy:

FAUX.

This word means FAKE in another language.

So, I am not wearing a WIg. It's Faux Hair.

As if the inclusion of some foreign word, simply made the meaning of the word 'fake' dissapear.

I was getting some stuff to make a little studio table at a hardware store, and when I inquired as to the material used to build a counter surface, the individual responded "it's faux wood'. I looked at him, and replied 'Oh, so it's plastic'. He smiled as if he had been caught with his hand on my pocket, and said 'yes sir, I guess so'.

Excuse me, but I am angry !! :)....

And what about FAUX PAS... Does it make less of a failuer, or no longer a screw up?... "Honey, I just had a FAUX PAS, I drove the car through the Living room"... Well PARDONE MOI !!!!!!!

:)
