hey all been lurking for a while so i decided to post. here is a photo i took in my home studio. i will be taking some more of these soon and i am looking for a few more pointers. i will be doing the shoot in a remote location (gym) so room is not a problem. My equipment includes:

10x20 muslin light blue white
dynatran ramuslin support
2 "cheap" 160w/s strobes
2 18x24 softboxes
an umbrella
and a reflector

what is a good base line to start my shoot.

I was thinking backdrop with subject about 4-5' out main light to subject left high and about 45 degrees fill light at subject right with power turned back. not sure if i make sense or if i am just rambling.

your pointers would be greatly appreciated.

let me know what you all think.

Nice but looks underexposed to me.

Move the model away from the background. Also you need more light on the background to blow it out.

No, The image was under exposed so did the following
Copied the original layer
Did a levels tweak to the new layer to get the background white
Placed a mask on the new layer and painted black on the layer to recover the girl's form Flattened and did a further levels tweak to get the girl exposed correctly.
