Now that I got the lame rhyme out of the way, hopefully you think the picture is cool :) I was playing guitar today and I've seen that some people post pictures of themselves playing. I figured why the heck not! This is really my first time trying something like this and I think the results are pretty neat. I used either F/4 or F/2.8, I can't really remember. It looks like I missed the focus mark by just a little bit but I doubt I can redo the shot the same way (I didn't even mean to get the amp in the shot). Any and all comments are always welcome. Thanks!

I really like it, also I think the amp in the back adds to the shot. Besides the missed focus the only other thing that is a little distracting is your leg. Is this cropped? I'd try a tighter crop, but that's just me. Nice shot, I like the concept.

Since you have Image Editing on I went ahead and tried that crop.

What are your thoughts on the crop?

This is a fantastic shot. I very much like your processing. The crop i think really works.

I think the re-crop looks pretty good. I originally had a tighter crop but thought it may look weird if my whole hand wasn't visible. I also wish I didn't have so much noise in the shot but I can only sit still for so long and used ISO800 to speed things up a bit :) Thanks for the comments!

And HDR is hard to make look good if the shots arent exactly the same. Good job on that one.

I was surprised it actually came out as well as it did considering I had to try and sit still while the camera took the 3 shots (-2, 0, +2). And my wife made a good point about the re-crop, my fingers look like fat worms :) She likes the one where my whole hand is visible since that really is the subject of the shot. Thanks again for the comments everyone.
